From first ride to FEI — the ZVD Schoolmaster Program grows with you.

Our Schoolmaster Program is unlike a regular riding school. We offer riders the opportunity to learn on exceptionally educated Warmbloods, carefully selected not just for their competition results but for their generosity, temperament, and ability to teach. These are horses that have competed from Elementary through to FEI, giving riders the rare chance to experience the feel of advanced work in a safe, supportive environment.

What makes the program unique is the combination of world-class horses, professional care, and tailored coaching. The ZVD team of coaches work across every level — from beginners finding their balance, to riders returning after time away, to advanced competitors refining piaffe, passage, and tempi changes. Each lesson is private and focused, ensuring progress is achievable no matter your starting point.

Riding Lessons & Pricing

At Zoe Vorenas Dressage, we offer high-quality private riding lessons for adults at every stage — from complete beginners and riders returning after time away through to experienced, competitive and FEI-level riders.

Our focus is on providing a complete equestrian education. Alongside correct and individualised ridden coaching, we place a strong emphasis on confidence, horsemanship, independence and understanding the horse.

Introductory Lesson

$190 | 75 minutes

Required for all new clients aged 16+.

Every new rider begins with an Introductory Lesson, regardless of previous experience.

The additional time allows us to get to know you, understand your riding background and goals, introduce you to your horse and familiarise you with the ZVD environment before your private ridden lesson.

The session may include catching, grooming, saddling, safe handling and equipment preparation, followed by a ridden assessment and lesson.

After your introductory session, your coach will recommend the most appropriate ongoing lesson option based on your experience, confidence and goals.

Senior Coach Private Lesson

$145 | 45 minutes

Our standard private lesson for riders who are confident independently catching, grooming, saddling and preparing their horse.

Lessons are individually tailored to each rider and horse, with a focus on correct technique, position, balance, effectiveness and progression.

Suitable for established recreational riders through to experienced riders wanting regular, high-quality coaching.

Riding & Horsemanship Private Lesson

$190 | 60 minutes

A comprehensive private lesson combining ridden coaching with practical horsemanship and groundwork.

The session may incorporate catching, handling, groundwork, grooming, saddling, equipment knowledge and horse behaviour alongside the ridden component.

This is particularly valuable for returning adult riders, riders developing their confidence around horses, or anyone wanting a more complete understanding of the horse beyond their time in the saddle.

The goal is to develop confident, capable and independent horse people — not simply riders.

Beginner Private Lesson

$190 | 60 minutes

Designed specifically for riders who are still developing their foundational riding and horse-handling skills.

The additional lesson time allows beginners to learn at an appropriate pace without rushing the preparation of the horse or their ridden education.

Lessons develop confidence, balance, position, steering, transitions and effective aids alongside practical horsemanship and independence.

As riders become confident independently preparing their horse, they can progress into our standard 45-minute private lessons.

FEI Coach / Zoë

$190 | 45 minutes

Advanced private coaching with Zoë for established riders wanting a higher level of technical dressage education.

Lessons are individually tailored and focus on developing feel, timing, effectiveness, correct training principles and a greater understanding of the horse's way of going.

Suitable for experienced riders and those wanting to develop their dressage education beyond a conventional riding-school lesson.

Grand Prix Schoolmaster Lesson

$300 | 45 minutes

A premium private lesson providing appropriately experienced riders with the opportunity to learn on a highly educated Grand Prix schoolmaster.

These lessons allow riders to develop their understanding of advanced aids, timing, balance and feel on horses that already understand higher-level work.

Access to genuinely highly educated horses is one of the things that makes the ZVD riding program unique.

We believe different horses are valuable teachers, and riders benefit from developing the confidence and adaptability to ride a variety of horses as their skills progress.
